Description:
Even though MBSE has been demonstrated to be the current trend in developing systems engineering projects, textual requirements are still needed for many reasons.
Considering these textual requirements, there is a clear need to follow requirements patterns. Following an agreed-upon catalog of patterns leverages the overall quality of those requirements, reducing dramatically inspection time and affecting important quality characteristics such as untestability, complexity, vagueness, ambiguity, or wordiness. At the same time, when a set of requirements follows a pattern approach, finding omissions or duplicates is also easier.
In this webinar, you’ll learn about the EARS – Easy Approach to Requirements Syntax, and how these patterns can be easily implemented on top of your own requirements management tool thanks to the multiple add-ins and extensions of the RAT – AUTHORING Tool. RAT can also connect the structure of the selected patterns with the information in your models and/or your domain-specific vocabularies, thus boosting even more the consistency of requirements across your documents (not only consistent structure but also consistent wording).
