Technical Management Digitalization (TMx)
Technical Management Capability
The ISO 15288 standard clearly defines the processes a professional organization should apply when engineering, constructing, operating, maintaining, and retiring a system.
One of the most appreciated contributions of the standard, besides the definition of the processes, is the way it organizes them. The declared processes are grouped into four (4) different clusters, where two of them are relevant here: Technical processes (producing information: like requirements, models, documents, etc.) and Technical Management processes (qualifying the produced information: managing quality of requirements and models, configuration management of content, decision management, etc.).
The result of this described context is the need within the organizations to apply the technical management processes to multiple and variable types of information (requirements, logical models, functional models, 3D models, test cases, etc..)
The SES ENGINEERING Studio, by offering the Technical Management Add-ins (SES TMx), provides quality, verification and validation, traceability, configuration management, information management, etc. to whatever information produced by any used tool within the organization’s tool ecosystem.
All the previous capabilities are supported by our SES ENGINEERING Studio Software Environment, either natively or when the different technical management (TMx) add-ins are acquired.
The native capabilities offered by the Standard version of SES ENGINEERING Studio are:
- Connectivity to all source tools
- Content Management (work-products) for all the connections
- Configuration Management (versions and baselines) for all work-products
- Universal Traceability management
- Report System
Specific Add-ins for Technical Management support inside SES ENGINEERING Studio:
- Quality Management Add-in (RQA – QUALITY Studio, RAT – AUTHORING Tool)
- V&V Add-in (V&V Studio)
- Traceability Add-in (Traceability Studio)
