Description:
Correct and well-written requirements are the foundation for any enterprise developing or purchasing a system. A common problem with requirements is that some of them may be ambiguous due to a “fuzzy” language. While ambiguities are easy to see in requirements written by others, they are difficult to spot in your own writing.
A requirement written with a negative meaning describing what the system must NOT do is usually not the best of ideas. The INCOSE Guide to writing requirements rule R16 will be examined a bit in depth focusing on why negatives quickly become ambiguous, hard to verify, and sometimes plan wrong.
In our Libraries section you can download the INCOSE Requiremens Guide Knowledge Library for our tools to help you follow the INCOSE guidelines.
So, do not forget to remember to register for our quite negative, short webinar on the subject of staying positive!
